List of Danish products?

Hello,

It would be nice if someone could post a link to a page in English listing or describind typical Danish products that are available aborad. I am willing to help offset the boycotts by buying more Danish products but I don't even know what to look for.

Our answer:

The best place to look seems to be this website that supports the boycot. Other lists of Danish products can be found on End the boycott, buy-danishproducts.com, buydanish.net or madeindenmark.org.

Buy Danish!

Thank you for all your support!

I was suprised to see the enthusiasm provided by people in other countries. And of course to see that an entire homepage was created, for supporting the freedom of speech!
I thank you all for your kindness, support and respect!

Yours cincerely
Jan, A proud Dane!

Dear sirs of Support Denmark,

I am a Danish citizen and I just want to express my gratitude of your support.

We feel very confused, sad, mad and betrayed. We invited immigrants and refugees to our country, gave them freedom of speech, freedom of association, educations, food and houses - and now some of them use it against us to spread hatred in the middle east against the "kufr" - the Danish "pigs" as they call us.

Also we stood side by side with the UK and the US during Afghanistan and Iraq and now the US state department said:

The US State Department described the cartoons as "offensive to the beliefs of Muslims" and warned that press freedom "must be coupled with press responsibility." and:

"There is freedom of speech, we all respect that," British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said. "But there is not any obligation to insult or to be gratuitously inflammatory," he said. "

Source: http://www9.sbs.com.au/theworldnews/region.php?id=127134&region=6 ...and also on CNN, abc and many others.

So we feel very alone, but rest assured we will fight for our right to express ourselves and we will not be afraid of some mullahs and muftis, no matter how much they threat us - we know that life can be hard. We have been under siege before.

Now I just hope that people wake up and realize that many Muslims are not our friends.

Viva freedom

Best luck for you and for OUR campgain!
This is a campgain for every freedom-believer , no matter what his\her religion is!

Someone has to stand up in this on-going craziness, I can not only be a watcher!
Viva freedom, we missed it in our home countries and I don't want to miss it here in Europe!
God bless you
Ahamd

Denmark support from the middle-east

Hey,

Me and a couple of other middle-east bloggers think the whole boycott denmark thing is redicilous. So redicilous that we in fact started our own boycott the boycott campaign, with banners and everything. Please check it out here and feel free to use the banners if you want.

Idea for Helping the Danes

I’ve been trying to get some of the blogs to post this idea but haven’t heard back from anyone.

As much as I agree that buying Danish products will help, I fear that few will hear the message and fewer still will heed it to make any impact, especially in light of the massive boycott fervor gripping the Muslim world. I propose a different approach.

We should urge the media of all democratic nations, especially our own “mainstream media” like the NY Times, to publish the cartoons as well as the story behind it so that we can (a) exercise our own freedom of expression in solidarity with the Danes (b) give our reading publics an opportunity to see for themselves what types of images caused such a ruckus and decide for themselves whether these images are so horrific that they deserve censoring and apologies and (c) to diffuse the boycott. What will the Muslim nations do? Boycott American, French, British, Italian, etc. goods? Let ‘em? What will they stock on their shelves? Korans, crude oil and sand? Fine.

As to the MSM, if it’s OK for al-Jazeera to broadcast jihadist snuff-films and for Arab papers to portray Jews as lice or vampires, it should be OK for our media to show us what everyone’s all heated-up about – especially since they’re OK with showing “P***-Christ” et al.

I’m sure that some will view this as pouring gasoline on the fire but at the same time, I’d be terrifically interested in seeing if papers like the NY Times or the WaPo or the networks would rise to the challenge and share with their readers a real First Amendment issue or are they so dhimmi that they will refuse to touch it?
